Just As I Am Virtual Book Discussion Online

Black History Month Virtual Book Club Selection.  Join the Springdale Public Library as we celebrate the iconic actress Cicely Tyson!  Join us as we read and discuss Cicley Tyson's Just As I Am.  Ms. Tyson was a trailblazing African American actress who shaped the course of history. On stage and on screen, she portrayed strong African American women and shattered racial stereotypes. In her remarkable career of many decades, she refused to take parts that demeaned Black people and won a Tony, Emmys, and an honorary Oscar. Cicley Tyson was and exemplar for civil rights.  Books are available at the Springdale Public Library for checkout. Read the book before the event and join us for a stimulation discussion of an American icon.
