Uncovering History through Things (Grades 6-12) In-Person
Join Dr. Michelle Rathgaber, an archeologist with the Arkansas Archeological Survey, to learn about the field of archeology. We'll talk about what archeology is, how it works, and what kinds of things archeologists study. We'll also talk about how archeology is different from history and paleontology. Then everyone will get a chance to try thinking like an archeologist by interpreting a collection of artifacts and figuring out who the people where who left them behind.
