Springdale Room Open House In-Person
You're invited to an after-hours open house in the Springdale Room, the library's newly opened expansion project! The evening will feature a panel discussion about the architecture and artwork in the space, as well as light refreshments, an approachable painting craft for all, and live music.
The Springdale Room project broke ground in 2025, and was funded with American Rescue Plan Act funds. From the beginning, the space was conceived as a gathering place for the community. Architects Gail Shepherd and Jason Hackett at Hight Jackson and glass and metal artist Suzanne Reed and glass artist Cathy Gilbert focused on natural light and rhythm to design an inviting, unique, and dynamic space for Springdale residents to connect, create, and collaborate. With our doors now open, we are thrilled to see the final result, and more importantly, to see our community using and enjoying it. We hope you'll join us to celebrate!
