Team Speed Puzzling In-Person

Test your puzzling skills to see which team can assemble the same 1,000-piece puzzle first in under 3 hours.  Prizes will be awarded.

Registration is limited to ten teams.  Teams should have 3-4 players and all members must be 15 years or older.  The team captain must register for the whole team.

Doors will open at 1:45pm, and the clock will start at 2:00pm on the dot.  Be sure to arrive on time!

RULES:

Any competitor who arrives late will still be allowed to compete, but will not be given additional time.

All the tables will be assigned under the team name.

Puzzles are to remain in a sealed bag on the table until the official start time.

There will be no scheduled breaks, but competitors are allowed to leave the table at any time while the competition continues.

Teams must notify an official when they have completed their puzzle. Fastest time wins!

Remaining teams are welcome to stay and complete their puzzle, but must be finished by 5:00pm.

If time expires before any team finishes, the team with the fewest loose pieces will be declared the winner.

In the event of a tie, teams will be given an additional five minutes to work on the puzzle and loose pieces will be counted again.

Teams are restricted to their own table and may not approach another table during the contest, nor are they allowed to study an opposing team's puzzle.

Teams may not distract other teams or purposefully create an environment of distraction.

Any team found to be tampering with another team's puzzle, breaking a rule, or engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct will be disqualified.

Spectators are welcome, but are not allowed to interact with or assist teams in any way.
