A Nightmare on Pleasant Street / Treat Street In-Person
Join us after hours at the library on Saturday, October 25 from 6 PM to 8 PM for two unique Halloween experiences!
All are welcome to tour Treat Street (located in the Children's Department) for candy and fun as friendly costumed actors greet guests and guide them through an indoor trick-or-treating experience. No scares here! Treat Street is appropriate for all ages and a sweet, sensory-friendly experience.
But a darker evening awaits the unfortunate souls who dare to venture into the library's first haunted attraction, A Nightmare on Pleasant Street (located in the Shiloh Room). Groups of 4-6 are invited to step into the shadows that lurk behind every closed doorway, but be aware: some of these shadows have teeth.
Please Consider
A Nightmare on Pleasant Street is recommended for ages sixteen and older and may include fog, flashing lights, sudden loud noises and movement, low lighting, and jump scares aplenty. Scare actors will be present in the attraction, but they will not have any physical contact with guests. Guests may not touch scare actors under any circumstance. The walkthrough will last approximately five minutes.
Admission
Admission is free, but a donation of $5 to the Library Foundation is suggested.
Registration
Registration is required for A Nightmare on Pleasant Street and will be capped at 75. Registration is not required for Treat Street. Nightmare registration opens Saturday, October 11, at 6 PM.
