Romance Book Club In-Person
This month, we will be discussing Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library as well as on the Libby and Hoopla apps.
Jane Austen's best-loved novel is an unforgettable story about the inaccuracy of first impressions, the power of reason, and above all the strange dynamics of human relationships and emotions. A tour de force of wit and sparkling dialogue, Pride and Prejudice shows how the headstrong Elizabeth Bennet and the aristocratic Mr Darcy must have their pride humbled and their prejudices dissolved before they can acknowledge their love for each other.
A note on editions: The library has acquired book club copies of the MacMillan Collector's Library edition with bonus materials. However, any edition of the book is welcome for the purposes of our discussion (including audiobooks, graphic novel adaptations, and varying editions).
Registration is not required, but physical copies of each month's book are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ebook & audiobook copies are available on the Libby & Hoopla apps. Romance Book Club meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:00pm in the Shiloh Room.
