Adult First Ride In-Person
This 3-part class, led by Trailblazers, is intended for adults who either never learned how to ride a bike or have not been on a bike in a long time. Adult First Ride starts with a balance-first method and covers foundational skills like balance, pedaling, steering, shifting, braking, turning, and safety. Trained Trailblazers staff and volunteers will guide you every step of the way. Each class is 2 hours.
Class 1 - Thursday, May 9 at 5:30pm: Learn to balance and pedal
Class 2 - Thursday, May 23 at 5:30pm: Shifting, braking, and turning
Class 3 - Thursday, May 30 at 5:30pm: Safety skills & group ride + refurbished bike giveaway
Anyone who participates in the full program can then receive a FREE refurbished bike and helmet, thanks to Trailblazer's partnership with Pedal It Forward.
Location: North parking lot of the Springdale Public Library
Equipment: Bikes and helmets are provided.
