Exploring the American Revolution: Transcribe-a-Thon In-Person

Arkansas TV, the Arkansas Center for the Book, and Springdale Public Library invite you to a free, interactive Transcribe-a-Thon connected to The American Revolution, a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt and the Library of Congress's By the People project.

The event begins with a short film preview of The American Revolution, followed by guided training and live transcription of Revolutionary-era letters, diaries, and printed documents.

No experience necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to help make history searchable for future generations!

Lunch will be provided. To help us plan appropriately, registration is requested.

Participants are welcome to bring their own laptop or tablet. Library computers will also be available for those who prefer to use one onsite.

This event is open to adults, students, educators and anyone interested in history, civic engagement or hands-on learning.
